Our Function
The University of Georgia Career Center is a comprehensive career planning and employment center located on the second floor of Clark Howell Hall. The Career Center provides a complete range of services and materials in the areas of career development (career counseling, choosing a major, skills training, resume and interview workshops, and assistance in the self-directed job search), graduate & professional school preparation (Graduate School Information Day, programming, and library resources), experiential education (student employment, internship information, and related reference material), and employer relations (Campus Interviews, Fall & Spring Career Fairs, Campus Employment Fair, Teacher Recruitment Day, Summer Employment Day, listings of full time jobs, and a myriad of reference materials in the Career Library).

Our Customers
The Career Center staff facilitates, motivates, and empowers students to explore options and pursue careers. The center is equally committed to assisting employing organizations and establishing university partnerships for the benefit of University of Georgia students.

Our Structure
The Career Center is divided into three major areas…an administrative team, an employer relations team, and a team of career consultants. Our operating model has changed from a functional-based model to a college specific model of career services delivery. Within this model, each career consultant is responsible for a college and serves as the tangible link between the Career Center and their assigned academic area. Our career consultants serve both externally, as a resource on career planning issues specific to that college (for students, employers, and faculty); and internally, as a point of contact and advocate for that college.
