Christie Sanders - Career Consultant, CAES

Christie is a native of North Carolina. She was born and raised in Fayetteville, and grew up on the Outer Banks. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child & Family Development from UNC-Greensboro, where she began her career in college student affairs as an intern with the UNCG Career Services Center. She continued her education at Appalachian State University in Boone, earning a Masters degree in Student Development. There, she worked with Upward Bound, Student Support Services, Academic Advising, and in the Career Development Center. She completed her graduate work as an intern with UNC-Wilmington’s Career Services. She returned to Fayetteville, where she worked as an elementary school Substitute Teacher and as a volunteer in the Career Services Office at Methodist College.

She joined the Career Center staff in April of 1999 and teaches a section of ECHD 3050-Career and Life Planning.

In her free time she enjoys going to the movies with her husband, playing with their 2 cats & 2 dogs, and spending time with family in NC & TN.
