EVENTS
2008 Federal Law Enforcement Employment Seminar

Check your calendars and sign up early! On Friday, February 8th, CJSP will sponsor a special seminar on applying for jobs in federal law enforcement. The seminar leader, Bill Curley, is a retired federal law enforcement supervisor (former SAC for ATF in Louisville, Kentucky).

The seminar will run from noon to approximately 6:00 p.m. in 326 Baldwin Hall. There will be breaks during the afternoon and refreshments will be provided. Students will learn about the variety of federal law enforcement agencies, related career opportunities, and the federal job application process and forms. Also, simulated interviews will be conducted and a packet of handouts distributed to participants.

There is no cost to students for the seminar, but CJSP asks for a $25.00 refundable deposit to reserve a seat. This is to ensure that someone does not frivolously reserve a spot and, thus, prevent someone else from being able to attend, since seating is limited. When a student registers, we ask for a check (or cash) that we hold and return to the student at the seminar. Participation is not restricted to C.J. majors and any interested student is welcome to attend. Registration is simple--just give Mrs. Arnold your name and refundable reservation fee. A letter verifying the seminar and a particular student's registration can be provided for anyone who needs a formal excuse for a Friday afternoon class.
