Jim Richardson - Career Consultant, School of Public & International Affairs
Jimmy started his work at the UGA Career Center in the summer of 2001 after finishing his graduate degree in Counseling. Prior to working on his graduate degree, Jimmy worked in manufacturing sales for a company in Lexington, Kentucky.
When Jimmy started at UGA he was one of two Career Consultants who worked with students in the Franklin College. He has now transitioned to work solely with undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Public and International.
In addition to his liaison role with SPIA, Jimmy also serves as the central point person at the UGA Career Center for Government and Nonprofit agencies. In this role as Associate Director, Jimmy “sells” UGA to prospective public service employers who are needing to hire students and/or alumni for internships, entry-level, and seasoned positions.
