To begin the Extern Sponsor Application process please read the following before completing and submitting the form below:

GUIDELINES & EXPECTATIONS
There are several tenants of the externship program that we would like to re-emphasize with you before you start planning your extern’s activities.

  1. The extern is not paid or reimbursed for any travel
  2. The externship is a flexible program; you can arrange for the extern to visit during the morning or afternoon, for the entire day, or for a week.
  3. The extern program is designed to provide the student with an understanding of what you do on a daily basis, how your organization functions, what the potential career paths are, and any other relevant experiences.
  4. If you have an extern who does not fulfill his or her obligation or is problematic in any way, please feel free to contact the Career Center by phone at (706) 542-3375 or by e-mail at extern@uga.edu
